Where were you born?

I was born in New Orleans, but I grew up in Birmingham & Decatur, Alabama.

When did you get into radio and why?

I always loved Christian radio-even back when I didn’t know anyone else who did. But when I married Luke Stephens (also of WAY Radio), I became more involved in radio. I majored in Business Administration & LOVE marketing. So this is a perfect fit: working with my hubby & awesome staff, using the gifts the Lord has given, and “promoting” music & a message that will last for eternity!

When did your relationship with Jesus start?

My parents led me to the Lord by my bedside when I was 5. But I dedicated my life to the Lord as a teen at a youth conference in D.C.

Where is the favorite place you’ve lived?

That’s a hard one. I love where I am, but I also really enjoyed living in Little Rock, Arkansas because we were smack dab within a 7 hour drive to our entire extended family.

What is your best childhood memory?

My father was a pastor, so my favorite memories would be enjoying the extended family within our church over the years. We still keep in contact with so many.

What sports team do you always root for?

I went to the University of Alabama so ROLL TIDE.

Who is your current favorite musician?

I’ve been listening to Christian music for 25+years & enjoy a wide range of artists. I love Russ Taff & SCC & Cheri Keaggy from years ago & more recent artists like Lincoln Brewster, Ronnie Freeman & MercyMe.

Other than the Bible, what book are you reading now?

What Happens When Women Pray by Evelyn Christianson, because I am in that bible study. I am not a “reader” unless it is a magazine article that I KNOW I can finish!

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Anywhere on the Caribbean. Luke & I went to Aruba for our 10th anniversary & that was a favorite.

What vacation spot have you always wanted to go to, but haven’t yet?

Boston/Cape Cod area & Hawaii.

What would be a perfect Friday night for you or your family?

With Luke: dinner out, walk on the beach or antiquing. With kids: games or movie night. And our kids love to put on plays, dances, etc. Anything that makes us laugh!

What is your favorite food?

It’s a toss up between anything made with potatoes & chips/queso..

Do you have any pets?

We had a puppy for 6 months & it got bit by a rattlesnake, so we’re not ready to go down that road again anytime soon, although our kids love dogs.
